As I reflect on blood memory and the journey of my ancestors, this piece was integral in me finding my way back to myself with the help of my ancestors after experiencing complex trauma and an important piece on my healing journey. For me, it is a nostalgic image that connects me to my Spirit, the land and my ancestors and how healing it was to have them with me during its creation.
