The Journal of Health Equity is a broad scope, sound science, interdisciplinary and interprofessional Gold Open Access international journal that focuses on advancing research, policy, and practice relevant to Health Equity and the reduction of disparities in health. The Journal aims to be the premier destination for discussion and dissemination of new and innovative research in the health equity field and related disciplines. The Editor welcomes rigorous original research from diverse fields illuminating the complex causes of health inequity and evaluations of efforts to promote health equity. In addition to publishing original research, the Journal of Health Equity seeks to create a dialogue amongst researchers of different disciplines on how to put into practice improvements to equity in healthcare through the inclusion of case studies, policy analyses, and discussion pieces.
