Statistical Theory and Related Fields is an international academic journal sponsored jointly by East China Normal University (ECNU) and the Chinese Association for Applied Statistics (CAAS). It aims to publish significant and original articles in modern statistical theory and related fields in natural, economical, medical, and social science. The emphasis is to meet the needs of statistical application and methodology development in a rapidly changing world, and to promote the use of statistics in quantitative studies and interdisciplinary investigations.
The advent of the era of Big Data has not only brought about great challenges to statisticians around the world, but also provided vast opportunities for them to develop new statistical theories and methods, as well as to find new applications in many fields. On the other hand, the number, subject scopes and geographic distribution of existing international academic journals in statistics can hardly meet the communication needs of statisticians, especially of those from China’s Mainland.
