Acta Oncologica is an international peer-reviewed journal based in the Nordic countries. The journal welcomes international contributions and offers global reach.

Acta Oncologic a provides the scientific community with a platform for innovative, comprehensive and clinically relevant cancer research. We strive to publish impactful cancer research with potential to influence future oncology and aim to advance high-quality, clinically relevant cancer research across the broad field of oncology.  

Acta Oncologica is owned by the non-for-profit Acta Oncologica Foundation and is the official scientific journal for the Nordic National Oncology Societies and the Nordic Association of Clinical Physics (NACP).

Acta Oncologica provides a forum for the exchange of information on the etiology, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all cancer types.

The journal welcomes articles in the following emerging areas:

  • Cancer epidemiology
  • Cancer diagnostics, biomarkers and precision medicine
  • Medical oncology, radiotherapy and radiophysics
  • Survivorship, rehabilitation, late side effects and palliative care
  • Clinical trial protocols (in letter format)

Acta Oncologica publishes original research articles, review articles, letters/brief communications and editorial comments.
