Aims and scope

The primary aim of the Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics is to publish high-quality experimental, computational, and theoretical biophysical studies that illuminate fundamental aspects of biomolecular structure, dynamics, and function.

The scope of the Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics encompasses studies of biomolecular structure and dynamics that cover biophysics, structural biology, computational modeling of biomolecular structure and dynamics, and bioinformatic approaches to understanding dynamics-function and structure-function relationships in biomolecules. Articles that report on the development of new theoretical, experimental, or computational methods to study biomolecular structure and dynamics are welcome. Drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, or synthetic chemistry manuscripts are welcome only if they include biophysical studies, either computational or experimental, that provide insight into biomolecular structure, dynamics or function.

Authors interested in submitting a review article should seek prior approval from the Editor-in-Chief.

Peer Review Statement

The Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics is an international, peer-reviewed journal which publishes high quality, original research contributions to scientific knowledge. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor-in-Chief, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single anonymized and submission is online via Scholar One Manuscripts.

Authors can choose to publish gold open access in this journal.
