Adrian Wanner

Adrian Wanner, born and raised in Switzerland, is Liberal Arts Professor of Slavic Languages and Comparative Literature at the Pennsylvania State University. His latest monograph, The Bilingual Muse: Self-Translation among Russian Poets (Northwestern University Press, 2020), contains a chapter on Nabokov’s self-translated poetry. He has published six editions of Russian, Romanian, and Ukrainian poetry of his own translations into German verse. His bilingual anthology of Russian exile poetry from interwar Paris, titled Pariser Nächte, is forthcoming in 2024.
