Abstract
A luminescence method to find the size distribution in aromatic microcrystallites embedded in PMMA is demonstrated. Under high photon energy excitation, microcrystallites of various sizes are excited with similar efficiency and the shape of the resultant broad luminescence band reflects size distribution of microcrystallites in the specimen. Applying this method, we clearly observed the distribution shift associated with the change in concentration of solute in the solvent PMMA.
