ABSTRACT
Exposure to violence significantly impacts social, behavioral, and physical health outcomes over the life course and across generations. Importantly, violence exposure happens at multiple levels and within multiple contexts. The current Special Issue focuses on violence across multiple levels of the socio-ecological model and at different points throughout the life course. Papers cover both direct and indirect exposures to multiple forms of violence on social, physiological, and psychobehavioral health outcomes both within and across generations. Collectively, the articles in this issue highlights the importance of looking at violence prevention at multiple levels and across the lifetime.
