Abstract
Complete solid-solution treatment (SST) of CZ127 was found to be achieved only after heat treatment at 900°C. The increased SST temperature did not improve the mechanical properties of the aged material. The microstructures of SST CZ127 aged at temperatures between 200 and 700°C were examined using optical and transmission electron microscopy. A complex CuNiSi precipitate was found after 600 s heat treatment at all aging temperatures.
