Nanoparticles in Sustainable Agriculture: Recent Advances, Challenges, and Future Prospects

ABSTRACT

Nanoparticles have emerged as a promising tool for sustainable agriculture and biosafety. This review article examines the historical background of nanoparticles in agriculture and explores the different types of nanoparticles, including nanoemulsions, quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, nanorods, and nanoencapsulation technology. Additionally, the review examines recent advances in the application of nanoparticles in agriculture, such as nano-fertilizers and nano-pesticides, and their potential effects on biosafety. Furthermore, the article discusses future prospects and challenges in the use of nanoparticles in sustainable agriculture and biosafety. The potential ecological effects of nanoparticles and the need for responsible regulation and oversight are also highlighted. Overall, this review article emphasizes the significant potential of nanoparticles in sustainable agriculture and biosafety and the need for continued research and responsible development to ensure safe and equitable distribution of its benefits.
