Emilie K. M. Murphy

Emilie K. M. Murphy is Lecturer in Early Modern History at the University of York. Her research interests lie in the cultural and religious history of England, and the anglophone world. c. 1500–1800. She is co-editor of Sensing the Sacred in Medieval and Early Modern Culture (Routledge, pb. 2022), and is currently writing a short monograph, Listening to Travel Writing. She is co-director of the international research network ”Soundscapes in the Early Modern World”.
