Kernel Theories	Source
The Community of Practice (CoP) theory explains how organisational factors (goals, norms, values, knowledge, and practice) impact the formation of participation through social interactions in communities with shared interests or purposes.	(Hsu et al., 2018; Wenger, 1999)
The Commons-Based Peer-Production (CBPP) theory explains community collaboration for a common good, in which large groups work collaboratively online, producing common goods.	(Andreev et al., 2010; Benkler & Nissenbaum, 2006)
The Information System Success (ISS) theory is used to assess the success of an IS from the user’s perspective, e.g. information, system, and service quality.	(DeLone & McLean, 1992)
