Abstract
After the California State University system canceled a large journal package in 2015, California State University Northridge analyzed usage and overlap data and proceeded with a subscription to a small number of single titles. This collection development decision was coupled with an attempt to improve discovery and linking for open access content. In the years since the cancelation, overall usage of the publishers journal content has remained comparable to pre-cancelation usage, while downloads of open access content have increased.
