The total sample size of the projects for which we had values for cost overrun was n = 4,677. n = 1870 for cost overrun > 1. n = 495 for cost overrun > 2. The 26.5% are calculated based on data points with cost overrun > 1 (i.e. 495/1870 = 0.2647).
