Abstract

We, the Editors and Publisher of Journal of Dermatological Treatment have retracted the following article:

Mohamed Ali Babiker Mohamed, Ahmed M. El-Malky, Wael Ahmed Abdelwahab Abdelkarim, Mohamed Abdulmonem Salih Aabdeen, Tarig Hassan Elobid Ahmed, Hassan H. H. Sarsour, Munirah Mohammed Mosa, Yasser S. Amer, Abdulrahman Ali M. Khormi & Abdulmajeed Alajlan (2022) Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for the management of psoriasis: systematic review, critical appraisal, and quality assessment with the AGREE II instrument, Journal of Dermatological Treatment, 33:6, 2771–2781, DOI: 10.1080/09546634.2022.2083545.

Since publication of the article, the journal has identified referencing and trial registration concerns. The concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office by a reader, who shared concerns about statements made regarding referenced article Yen H, Huang CH, Huang IH, et al. Systematic review and critical appraisal of psoriasis clinical practice guidelines: a global guidelines in dermatology mapping project (GUIDEMAP) (published online ahead of print, 2022 Feb. Br J Dermatol. 2022;3:13). Additionally, the reader raised concerns about an inactive PROSPERO link and multiple errors with citations and references. The authors have been contacted for a reply but have yet to adequately address the concerns raised. The corresponding author and the authors’ institutions listed in this publication have been informed.

As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions. The retracted articles will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but they will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
