This special issue contains the extended abstracts of the presentations by the participants at the Annual National Institute of Aerospace, USA, 2023 Meeting held virtually on 27 October 2023. I thank all the participants for their contributions to a wide area of topics. It is amazing the depth and breadth of the areas we could cover, from Robotic, Computational Fluid Dynamics to Polymers, Lattice Boltzmann Methods and Physics Education, of course, the major focus has always been Plasma Physics. Those who attended the full day could see how beautiful the interdisciplinary research world we live in! I never knew that fluid dynamics could be applied to polymers till Ruhai (Prof Zhou) explained it to us! The initiation and strengthening of communications across the aisles has always been the motivation for these series of meetings. Please feel free to continue this trek. These extended abstracts have been intended to be limited to four pages and were not refereed. In fact, in most cases, it covered a summary of a research theme rather than reporting new research, so some parts of it might have been published elsewhere already. We look forward to our next meeting tentatively scheduled for October 2024.
