Abstract
This study aimed to assess the relationship between seizure frequency and its treatment on the quality of life among patients with epilepsy in Pakistan. The Quality of Life in Epilepsy Inventory-31 (QOLIE-31) was translated and adapted into Urdu. Clinical and demographic details were collected, and the inventory was administered to 50 adult patients with epilepsy (ages ranging from 18 to 40). The study found that a significant inverse relationship exists between quality of life and seizure frequency, and that high seizure frequency had adverse effects on all domains of quality of life such as social functioning, emotional well-being, medication effects, and cognitive functioning.
