Not Set in Stone: Understanding Community in Prehistoric Cyprus Through Ground Stone Tool Biographies

The CBRL Travel Grant allowed me to complete analysis of the ground-stone tools from Kissonerga- Mosphilia and Kissonerga-Skalia in western Cyprus—two case study sites utilized in my PhD. I also looked at materials from secure contexts at the Chalcolithic site of Chlorakas-Palloures in western Cyprus, a site that will act as an excellent primary dataset for comparison with the Kissonerga-Mosphilia case study. Time was taken researching the original context sheets and site drawings from Kissonerga-Mosphilia, held at Lemba Archaeological Research Centre which aided my understanding of relevant contexts at this site and plotting object positions for contextual analysis.
