Comparative Evaluation of Fundus Image Interpretation Accuracy in Glaucoma Screening Among Different Physician Groups [Letter]

Dear editor

Thank you for your constructive feedback on our study. Your comments touched upon several important points that will be crucial in determining the direction of our future research.

We do not anticipate significant differences in the fundus photograph interpretation skills among ophthalmologists across facilities. However, we hypothesize that the skills of non-ophthalmologists affiliated with health checkup facilities may vary considerably between institutions. Therefore, additional verification across multiple health checkup facilities is deemed important. This verification could reveal efficient methods for non-ophthalmologists to learn fundus image interpretation.

Further additional verification is required to illuminate the challenges inherent in glaucoma screening. Beyond identifying these challenges, we remain dedicated to improving glaucoma diagnostic accuracy.
