Aims and scope

Veterinary Quarterly is an international peer-reviewed Open Access journal that publishes research in the field of veterinary science and animal diseases.

The journal aims to share high-quality research contributions. Articles that describe the pathophysiology of a specific animal disease, a newly recognized disease or an important variation of a well-recognized disease are welcome.

Veterinary Quarterly accepts papers on a range of different animal species and topics including:

  • Wildlife species
  • Infectious diseases
  • Pharmacology and vaccination
  • Economically important species, such as domesticated and non-domesticated farm animals
  • Companion animals

Please note, the following article types are not published within Veterinary Quarterly:

  • Epidemiologic and/or questionnaire driven research
  • Animal models for human research

Veterinary Quarterly publishes original research articles and review articles.

The journal operates on a single-anonymized peer review policy.

All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication.
