Society information

The aims of the British Society for the History of Mathematics are to promote research into the history of mathematics and to encourage its use at all levels of mathematics education. It does this through meetings, through the British Journal for the History of Mathematics , and by other means. The BSHM takes in all periods and civilizations, and all aspects of mathematics, both pure and applied. Members come from a broad and international cross-section of those interested in mathematics and its history, and in mathematics education.

Individual members of the British Society for the History of Mathematics receive the British Journal for the History of Mathematics as part of their membership. To print out a membership application form please visit the BSHM website.

Institutions are invited to become institutional members of the British Society for the History of Mathematics, the benefits of which include print and online subscriptions to the British Journal for the History of Mathematics . For more information please contact Taylor & Francis.
