The Journal of LGBTQ Issues in Counseling is the official journal of the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE), a division of the American Counseling Association. The mission of SAIGE includes the recognition of both individual and social contexts presenting the confluence of race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, ability, age, spiritual or religious belief system, indigenous heritage in order to promote greater awareness and understanding of LGBTQ+ issues among members of the counseling profession and related helping occupations to improve standards and delivery of counseling services provided to LGBTQ+ clients and communities. SAIGE members receive the journal as a benefit of membership.
