The Society for the History of Alchemy and Chemistry (SHAC) , founded in 1935, has a long-standing tradition in the fields of alchemy and chemistry, organising colloquia, publications and promoting the interdisciplinary study of the field from its early beginnings to the present.

It is preferred that review copies are sent directly to the reviewer following consultation by email with the Book Reviews Editor. Please note books for review should not be sent to the Editor, Prof Bruce Moran.

Society Meetings
Scholarly meetings of the Society are usually held twice a year, and there is a regular series of online seminars. Information about meetings, online seminars and other activities is available on the Society's website.

Society Membership
Anyone interested in the history of alchemy or chemistry may join the Society. The normal membership fee is £40 for 2023 and more information on how to join can be found on the Society's Membership page.

Chemical Intelligence is the Society's newsletter which publishes twice a year.
