The United States' Race to Certify Sustainable Forestry: Non-State Environmental Governance and the Competition for Policy-Making Authority1This article presents the US chapter, and relevant parts of Chapter One, to our book, Governing Through Markets: Forest Certification and the Emergence of Non-state Authority (New Haven: Yale University Press).
