Les microcharbons, éléments du palynofaciès

Pages 265-272 | Published online: 10 Jul 2014

Summary

Microcharcoals are a part of the organic matter concentrated In the process of palynological préparations. The study consists in the relative frequency, the size, the colour of halo when it is found, the corrosion and the degree of blunt. It is not possible to determinate wood species but indications are given by the method precised by the author in observing them under low-angled light. They indicate natural or anthropic combustion and the evolution of plants. They take place in palynofacies study and help to understand the setting as well as the taphonomy of sediment.
