The Architecture of a Wisdom Machine (WM)

Pages 537-545 | Published online: 03 Jun 2010

Abstract

In this paper, we propose that wisdom can be distilled from knowledge, knowledge can be derived from information, information can be gathered from data and finally data can be assembled, acquired, switched and channeled by the existing tools and techniques borrowed from computer science and network technology. A variety of data sensors activate the system and at the second level the traditional AI techniques will process the data through the information and the knowledge levels. The final pinnacle of wisdom is an all-human activity where the mind is the super-processor from information and knowledge derived from six computer systems (or subsystems). Each subsystem performs a step either in a sequential or a recursive mode of execution to either forward a new concept in the dictionary of Wisdom or it will link and classify the realm of current activity to an existing tree of knowledge or as minutia of known knowledge.
