Abstract

We have measured the luminescence spectra of the layered perovskite-type material induced by high-energy ions and observed the biexciton luminescence peak. From the ratio of the intensity of the biexciton luminescence peak to that of the free exciton peak, we have estimated the excitation intensities for 1.0 v; MeV H + , 2.0 v; MeV H + , and 2.0 v; MeV He + ions. A quantitative agreement is obtained between the experimental value for the ratio of the excitation intensity and the calculated value using the TRIM code.
