UK Corporate Governance After Enron

(THE RT HON LADY JUSTICE)
Pages 269-282 | Published online: 27 Apr 2015

Abstract

The responsibilities of company directors are being reconfigured on the anvil of experience. This paper examines some of the developments, and proposed developments, in the legal and regulatory framework affecting those responsibilities, with particular reference to the UK. The changes to the legal and regulatory framework considered in this paper cannot solve all the problems, but they should help. The process of change should be one of evolution, not revolution. The momentum for change is being maintained.
