ABSTRACT

Use of nanostructures of paper precursors in papermaking is reviewed. Carbon nanotubes, nanostructures of calcium carbonate, silicate, and other inorganic compounds, as well cellulose nanofibers have been applied to improve paper properties and to obtain modified paper types having antibacterial, electric-conductive, photo-feel, antistatic, optically transparent, and several other properties.
