Meeting Highlights: 3rd IUPHAR Satellite Meeting on Serotonin July 30 - August 3 1994, Chicago, USA: Serotonin 94

Abstract

Serotonin 94, the third IUPHAR satellite meeting on serotonin, was held in Chicago, Illinois, from 30 July to 3 August, 1994. In a very busy four days, twenty-two symposia were held, running in two parallel sessions, and 196 poster presentations in six poster sessions. Despite this prolific presentation rate, the expansion of the 5-HT receptor family appears to have finally subsided, with no new receptors being revealed at the meeting. The presentations have been summarised below into sections corresponding to the seven major receptor families; each section attempting to encompass data from molecular biology to potential clinical manifestations.
