Abstract
This meeting, sponsored by Boston University School of Medicine and Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, was co-ordinated by Dr R Levine (Boston University School of Medicine) and a scientific committee composed of Drs N Birdsall (National Institute of Medical Research), D Brown (University College London), A Giachetti (A Menarini), E Mutschler (Johann Wolfgang Goethe University) and N Nathanson (University of Washington). The meeting format consisted of both formal and poster presentations and a workshop, and was attended by over 200 participants from industry and academia. The initial sessions covered muscarinic M1, M2 and M3 receptors, while later sessions covered the comparative aspects and functional interactions of these subtypes.
