Abstract
Research in the field of macrolide antibiotics has continued. The aims of research efforts are quite different with 14-, 15- and 16-membered ring macrolides. A review of 14- and 15-membered ring macrolides covering the period up to 1995 was published in a previous issue of this journal [1].
