Abstract

Multiple studies have proven the multiple health benefits of engaging children outdoors, and in activities such as gardening. Of utmost importance is staying safe while outside. This column addresses three, year round aspects of outdoor safety, sun, plants, and insects. The brief annotated bibliography covers sites focused on information and education for families, educators, and children.
