ABSTRACT
This article emphasizes the importance of paying tribute to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and preserving the memory of the locations associated with the mass shootings during the Revolution of Dignity in Kyiv’s city centre. It provides an overview of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes Memorial Project, which seeks to uphold the memory of those Ukrainians who valiantly struggled for freedom, dignity, human rights, and the progress of democracy in contemporary Ukraine.

Cet article souligne l’importance de rendre hommage aux héros des Centuries célestes et de préserver la mémoire des lieux associés aux fusillades de masse pendant la Révolution de la dignité dans le centre-ville de Kyïv. Il donne un aperçu du projet de mémorial en l’honneur des héros des Centuries célestes, des Ukrainiens qui ont vaillamment lutté pour la liberté, la dignité, les droits de l’homme et le progrès de la démocratie en Ukraine.

Lesia Onyshko is responsible for oral history projects at the National Memorial to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and the Revolution of Dignity Museum in Kyiv. Dr. Onyshko’s research interests include the Holodomor, the history of national liberation movements in the Ukrainian lands, and the history of Ukrainian protest movements.
