Retraction statement

This article refers to:
Retracted Article: Host-stage preference and functional response of aphid parasitoid Diaeretiella rapae (McIntosh) (Hym.: Braconidae) on greenbug, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani) (Hem: Aphididae)

We, the Editor and Publisher of the journal Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection, have retracted the following article:

M. Jokar, M. Zarabi, S. Shahrokhi & M. Rezapanah (2012). Host-stage preference and functional response of aphid parasitoid Diaeretiella rapae (McIntosh) (Hym.: Braconidae) on greenbug, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani) (Hem: Aphididae), Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection, 45:18, 2223–2235, DOI: 10.1080/03235408.2012.724972

Following publication, significant concerns have been raised about the authorship of the article, and the apparent similarity in the methodology and results of this article with the following thesis:

Dashti, H, Investigation of multi-aphid effect on functional response of Diaeretiella rapae (McIntosh) (Hym.: Braconidae) on common wheat aphids, Schizaphis graminum (Rondni) (Hem.: Aphididae) (ut.ac.ir), presented at the University of Tehran on 06.12.2010.

When approached for an explanation, the explanation provided by the corresponding author did not address the concerns raised.

As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors do not agree with the retraction.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted articles will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but they will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
