Marjorie Agosín

Marjorie Agosín is a poet, novelist and memoirist. She is the Andrew Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Wellesley College. Her recent works are Los mapas de la memoria (2022; The Maps of Memory) and Among the Time of Words (2022). Agosín lives between worlds—in Massachusetts and on the coasts of Maine and Chile. “Notes to the Sea: A Journal,” from which the following has been excerpted, will be published by White Pine Press in 2024.
