ABSTRACT
In this work, an experimental investigation is performed to study the flame height and air entrainment of 0.2 m n-heptane double pool fires (DPF) with various separation distances (S). The results show an inverse relationship between the flame height and air entrainment with S. The increase in the flame height of DPF with a decrease in the air entrainment is more than half of the standalone fire. A correlation is developed to predict the flame height of DPF considering the nondimensional air entrainment and heat release rate. Also, a correlation is developed between the nondimensional air entrainment and S.
