A new spider species of the genus Uroctea Dufour, 1820 (Araneae: Oecobiidae) from the Lut desert, Iran

Abstract

A new species of Uroctea Dufour, 1820 is described from the Lut desert, Iran, based on the male. The species is close to the Uroctea grossa complex, but morphologically very distinct from all of its congeners by having only one branch of the median apophysis.
