¹ With respect to the graduate theses included in NeurHistAlert, please note that the electronically accessible dissertation databases (e.g., ProQuest® and Historical Abstracts®) often receive theses relatively late (ca. one year after the academic defenses were being held), due to authors’ revisions and changes. In their working rhythm, the database publishers also need further time for cataloging, so that for theses an “extended survey period” applies. We remain convinced, however, that the inclusion of graduate theses provides good service to the history of neuroscience community at large.
