From the President's Desk

Warm Greetings to the IETE Members! It gives me great pleasure to share my views with the committed readers of this journal, which is entering its 64th year of publication under the leadership of Professor Raj Senani, the journal's new Editor-in-Chief. Professor Senani is an accomplished Professor who graciously offered his honorary services after Dr P V Ananda Mohan. I have no doubt that the IETE Journal of Education will soar to greater heights due to his inspirational leadership and extensive Research background. Prof Senani appointed a significant number of seasoned professionals as Editors in addition to veterans from academia & industry to share their knowledge through general-interest articles in order to meet the onerous task of establishing a vibrant journal catering to a varied community of readers. Dr Ananda Mohan has done a lot of good work for the journal, and IETE is appreciative of his contributions.

I would like to call attention to the fact that IETE Journal of Education is now designated under UGC listing, which is a source of immense pride for our community. We have also observed that after this listing, the number of submissions increased, and you'll notice that compared to previous years, the number of articles in this issue is more. I hope that this trend will get stronger in the years to come. My sincere thanks to all, who have contributed regularly for this journal. At a time when technological progress is happening fast, it's hard to keep up the pace, this journal attempts to impart the basics of different subjects to the readers who are interested. This work has been the backbone of this journal and is contributed by some of the most experienced and experts in these areas. My sincere appreciation to each of them.

An MoU is signed with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) to offer courses in new areas like block chain, machine learning, robotics, artificial intelligence, etc. This was done to meet the rising expectations of IETE students and market demand. These areas are providing new chances to learn new technologies, skills and broaden their knowledge. Under this MoU between IETE and NIELIT, I want to encourage all of the IETE Student Forums at engineering colleges across the Country to take advantage of this opportunity to learn the latest art of technology topics. Additionally, they should also explore SWAYAM-NPTEL courses to broaden their knowledge horizon.

I will also encourage aspiring authors to submit their valuable research contributions to IETE Journal of Education, which can serve as an excellent venue for publication. Even ISFs Institutions that organize significant conferences may consider publishing special issues in this journal according to the journal's terms and conditions, with the approval of the EIC.

In addition, I will recommend all IETE Alumni to join the IETE Alumni Association and update their contact information so that it is easy to keep you informed of the latest developments. They can also share their recent accomplishments and successes in the area of interest to IETE, so that it can be published in the IETE Newsletter, which is hosted on the website shortly after publication for a public view. Some corporate members’ data is stored with us without email addresses or phone numbers and this data is uploaded on the IETE website. The readers are requested to identify corporate members in their respective areas and inform them to download the form and submit the necessary information.

IETE promotes research by publishing the most recent research articles in its journals in order to keep researchers abreast of the most recent technological developments and for their academic growth. Additionally, we support researchers by providing stipends to limited MTech students and PhD candidates. IETE is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under the scheme on Recognition of Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SIROs), 1988.

Lastly, I would like to conclude by quoting Arianna Huffington: “Clearly drive, IQ, and hard work are incredibly important. But ultimately what matters most is resilience – the ability to quickly rebound from failures, indeed to see failure as a stepping stone to success.”

I appreciate everyone's support and encourage members to stay in touch with Our Great Organisation IETE.

Prof (Dr) V Gunasekhar Reddy

President, IETE
