The organization of risk management at FIAT

Broader dimensions of risk, the changing role of risk management and regulatory oversight are driving enterprises to adopt an integrated approach to risk management. The organizational design of risk management adopted by FIAT is illustrated here and discussed. Three factors characterize the development of the FIAT organizational approach: (1) an increasing emphasis on identifying the true sources of risk to a business, (2) more integration between risk managers and their internal and external partners, and (3) a high degree of organizational flexibility.
