As a start to our first issue of our 2024 volume, we are excited to introduce a new initiative at Language Learning and Development of publishing target articles and commentaries. The seven commentaries that appear in the next section target an article by Shin and Miler, published in Volume 18 (Shin & Miller, 2022). The commentaries are followed by a reply by Shin and Miller.
We hope our readers find value in this format for disseminating and discussing new research and ideas in our field. We look forward to publishing further target article and commentary collections from time to time going forward.
