ABSTRACT

Advancements in electric vehicle (EV) technology and integration of renewable energy systems into EV has emerged as a transformative standard for sustainable and efficient transportation have led to the widespread adoption of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) for vehicle drive system. The CAGR Analysis 2023–2030 predicts an 11% annual growth rate for the global electric vehicle industry. This review paper comprehensively explores the multidimensional aspects of inverter-based integration, highlighting their significance in enabling seamless hybrid renewable energy utilization and uninterruptedly charges the EV batteries which delivers an opportunity to optimize the drive process of PMSM effectively. A relentless torque is extremely essential in the electric vehicle applications to attain efficient motor speed. This review paper sights the various aspects of inverter fed PMSM drive controller along with a hybrid Photovoltaic (PV)-dynamo input source system and discusses the development of a productive EV battery charging structure. The findings suggest that the combination of PMSM motors along with a hybrid PV-dynamo source can significantly enhance the charging efficiency by 97% and improve overall PMSM performance. A comprehensive overview of renewable energy-powered EVs and their role in reshaping the future of sustainable mobility.
