A brief update for this double issue starting Volume 24. First, it is a pleasure to introduce Kylie Thomas as our new Visual Essays Editor. Kylie is a Senior Lecturer at the Radical Humanities Laboratory and in Art History at University College Cork, Ireland. She is also a Senior Researcher at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies in Amsterdam. We are planning to include more visual material in Safundi to enliven the journal’s content and intellectual reach. With attention to the recent strife in Sudan, Kylie has provided an essay for this issue involving historical photographs from the Sudan Family Archives. We welcome contributions of visual essays in the future. Please consult the Safundi page on the Taylor & Francis website for further guidelines.

We are also happy to publish a roundtable on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) and The Woman King (2022) organized by Diana Mafe, who is a Professor of English at Denison University, USA, and an Editorial Board Member of Safundi. We equally welcome proposals for roundtables on films, books, and other items and topics for future issues. Please contact the editors directly for guidelines.
