Editorial Preface

Three case studies of Catholic secondary schools in Kenya

This journal is attempting to provide more research reports on Catholic education in Africa. Arising from discussions between the Editor and Sister Professor Jacinta Adhiambo, MCESM of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, it was agreed that Sister Jacinta would coordinate three case studies from Religious Congregations with missions in Education.

We welcome the contributions of Sister Alemreng Pamela of the Assumption Sisters of Eldoret, of Sister Colleta Aluoch of the Franciscan Sisters of St Anna and Sister Mary Jumanne of the Missionary Congregation of the Evangelising Sisters of Mary and thank them for their valuable fieldwork reports for ISCE. We also thank Professor Adhiambo for making this publishing innovation possible.

Professor Gerald Grace, KSG, Editor ISCE

The Editorial Board invites other Religious Congregations with mission in education to offer similar brief case studies from Africa of their work in early childhood education, primary and secondary schools and in H.E colleges.
