Hazel McMichael

Hazel McMichael recently completed her PhD at Loughborough University, where she also taught Art History and Visual Culture. Her doctoral research focused on the politics of voice and identity in practices of ventriloquism, feminism, and conceptualism. Prior to this, she regularly performed and exhibited sonic and visual poetry in and around London. Her current research interests include autotheory; hybrid art, spiritual, and political practices; listening and noise activism; transgenerational trauma; and transnational feminism.
