British Journal of Religious Education - Article of the Year
The British Journal of Religious Education awards Article of the Year to an article judged to be the most outstanding peer-reviewed paper published in the journal during the previous year. Judged by members of the Editorial board, the Article of the Year award is given on the basis of the following criteria:
- The article presents original, significant and rigorous research and/or scholarly argument;
- The article relates to current debates about the place of religion in education;
- The article has attracted significant interest within the field, usually judged by citations, but without prejudice to open access or non-open access status;
- The article communicates the specific context in a manner suitable for our international readership;
- The article describes and justifies its research methodology or theoretical orientation in a way that allows readers to see the validity of its arguments;
- The article uses clear, accessible language and a high standard of academic English, following the style guidelines of the journal.
