Construction industry is one of the largest consumers of natural resources, and it is also a big generator of carbon dioxide. Along with the increasing concerns on climate change and environment health from the public, there is increasing pressure on the industry to minimize its environmental impacts for a sustainable future. This article collection focuses on challenges and solutions to the development of a sustainable construction industry. The collection also includes articles which discuss off-site construction.
