Papers on construction and demolition waste management: practices and tools
The development of global construction industry and rapid urbanization has resulted in the production of massive construction and demolition (C&D) waste. C&D waste is produced during the process of construction, renovation, or demolition of structures. In many countries, landfilling is still one common treatment to handle the waste, which inevitably occupies land resources. Specifically, approximately 80% C&D waste are inert components, which have great recycling potentials. Proper C&D waste management is a universal issue and closely associated with environmental health. This collection includes a series of articles investigating the practice of C&D waste management and technical tools used in waste management.
