Advanced Ceramics in Dentistry (4th Advanced Ceramics and Technologies for Dentistry (ACT4D) 2020)
The present collection series gathers publications related to an online 4th Advanced Ceramics and Technologies for Dentistry (ACT4D) international workshop themed as “Net-shape digital manufacture of customized zirconia parts beyond the state-of-the-art”, which was held in October 9-12, 2020.
The 4th ACT4D workshop was more comprehensive than ever, inviting a broad spectrum of contributions related to glasses and ceramics, bio-scaffolds, inorganic cements, self-glazed zirconia, color and shade digitalisation, grinding and wear properties, aesthetic properties of ceramics, novel sintering methods, AI design concepts and technologies, net-shape forming technologies, additive manufacturing, CVD and PVD for surface modification, bioinspired structures and processes, digital workflow and digital eco-system, robotic surgical procedures, clinic application of ceramic prostheses, posts and implants, bonding and cementation, protein/cell interaction with ceramics, osseointegration, soft tissue integration, biomineralization, failure analysis, standards and quality control.
This collection series of publications is dedicated to Professor Zhijian Shen, in recognition of his tireless, 30 years of research and development of zirconia bioceramics.
